I’d been playing Warframe rather a lot every day for 300 days and then 12 days ago I just … didn’t. I don’t know what happened, but I’ve only logged in, checked my kavat’s health and logged out since then (nothing to do with WF, I think. Christmas is always very stressful, so I think I just needed some purely SP games to hide in).
But it has meant that I’ve been trying a good lot of other games lately.
Latest has been Saints Row IV. I’ve had it for years, but first there was Guild Wars 2 and then WF, so I didn’t get around to it until now.
It’s a very silly game. At first it was a bit much, but then it got kind of amusing. Especially the Fraud challenge is quite delightful. It’s some work clearing the whole map, though, and I don’t know if I’ll stick with it that long, but it’s been a nice distraction for a bit.
Also tried Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen for a short bit. It seems pretty interesting, but I wish they’d done more work on the UI for the port; it’s very console-port-y and so rather tedious to shuffle stuff in the inventory.
oh, and I managed to get stuck on the very first quest you get. Not too much of a problem since you can just do other ones, but still, I’m a bit impressed with myself and/or the game.
The difficulty seems a bit spiky? And it’s hard to tell what you can handle, but I guess I’ll get better at that after playing more.
Needs more time than I have right now, so I’ll return to it after Christmas, I think.
