It seems like a lot of the goals were interesting, original and worthy goals, but I imagine that things like the missions and the saving were down to limitations as much as design decisions.
And I kind of like that they had some grand ideas… but most grand ideas don’t come together. (Actually, it seems like Kickstarter in general has been remarkably lucky in a lot of the ideas coming together).
But they’d probably have been better served by playing it safe, having less grand ideas and making a UU clone with updated graphics.Much more achievable and more likely to be what fans want.
But I can’t help feeling it’s a bit sad that Kickstarter so often seems to lead to somewhat conservative remakes/sequels to old games, rather than attempts to do something new.
We already have publishers for that
Relevant… in that I was really hoping UA would do something like Thief did (as opposed to be a new Thief game).
