Yeah I was very tempted to go Norsca, as I’ve literally never played them, but I’m saving that for later (and may well go with Throgg because he looks hilarious, even though Wulfrik seems like he’s probably better and a bit more RP for Norsca).
I got Hellebron the big Cauldron of Blood mount despite the massive decrease to her fighting abilities it gives, because people were saying it was super-effective on other Witch Elf heroes, and wow, it’s like Hellebron has a goddamn train.
She just rams into stuff, is incredibly hard to hurt, yeah she doesn’t like three-shot lords any more, but she still chops them up good and cannot really be stopped, at least at the moment.
I also now have some ++slaves gained buffs and wow, I have a lot of slaves. Gonna need more though. Hellebron is addict and the only cure is not “more cowbell”, sadly, but the blood of slaves. Ever-increasing numbers of slaves. And if you even drop to the small penalties level that’s -5 Public Order faction-wide which is NOT a good idea… (esp. not on harder settings and with so many slaves!).
There is, interestingly, another cure, which I believe is to conquer both Morathi and the Everqueen’s home bases, which I thiiiiiink means you can never drop below “slight buffs” from the blood thing, but both of those are real far away.
The Blood Voyage armies seem kind “meh”. They reaaaally slooooowly (i.e. not a max speed) auto-journey to High Elfland (errr… why can’t I remember the name? Doughnutland?), then try to wreck shit. And they usually don’t get terribly far before Tyrion or someone else arrives to stop them, despite their “endgame army”-style setup. I guess they’re more of a hilarious bonus than an actual thing we’re supposed to use though. And when the finally die you get some cash based on how far they got (not a huge amount but hey free money).
Someone else has the Sword of Khaine, I note, and got it extremely early, like, long before I could really even have got there. I guess they can keep it for now. It’s not Tyrion. I suspect it may be Alith Anar.
