Then some darwinian selection might take care of that.
I can’t feel sorry for them, in this case.
For your neighbor accidentally climbing the wall.
I once went in the almost darkest corner possible, the last place (village) with electricity lines, for a short holiday.
Beyond that not even electricity goes.
Road? No such thing, 2 hours hike walk over the mountains.
The location: a derelict village, where almost everyone old died and absolutely everyone young left. My host had a farm there, as “summer retreat”.
40 houses, 3 different denomination churches, 10 locals.
The one beating the bells for 12’o clock was the village drunkard.
This farm we went to visit was robbed from time to time, petty things stolen.
Then the only one being able to walk properly in the village was threaten to be locked in the house and the whole thing to be set alight, if anything goes missing anymore.
Now he was the nicest villager. He came all the time to help with the farm stuff, he eat at the same table with us, the guests, he was almost family. Nothing ever disappeared again.
I only found out about the story after we left.
I remembered it.
