Comleted the quest to survive on all maps in sequence. Last one was on Labs (worst place in Tarkov - expensive to go, no insurance, mostly high level players, evil bots, fiddly exfils and sometimes cheaters). Basically I had to sit somewhere safe for 10 minutes and leave unseen. Right as I was about to get out a guy storms into a server room where I hide. He was unprepared. Among other things he had a grenade launcher on him (controversial item to say the least) and I saw it for the first time ever in online raid. As I was looting him someone (presumably his teammate) threw a grenade into a room but it went into a far corner. I barely escaped but I was super heavy so the enemy was hot on my heels.
Long story short I got him with a trophy grenade launcher and got out. First time ever I use GL40. I positioned behind cover instinctively and I just immediately knew what to do. Wait for a shoulder to appear and click on a wall.
Yeah, that pile on the floor is a second guy. He got quite far away from the corner. I see quite easily how it seems completely unfair to die in cover with no chance of escaping from a grenade launcher across the corridor. Oh well, hope he was indeed teammate of a first guy. Grenade Launchers are super rare in real raids. On Labs though seem to be a thing.
Got lucky here. Ambushed two PMCs with super-juiced up HK 416s. First guy wasn’t paying attention, thought he was safe (I wasn’t making any noise for two minutes and hid in a dark corner) and I shot him in the jaw (leas protected area). Though frankly 7.62x39 BP would have probably punched through his visor and maybe even helmet itself (unless it ricochetted). Second guy pounced when I was reloading but just a second too late.
A bunch of Sam Fishers tried to get into my shack, sadly third one got me with a grenade but I made it expensive for them (at lest in ammo and other stuff that won’t return with insurance) .
Yeah, this is what I do. I camp some evil angles close by. Only way I know how to play the damn game.
