I do have a lot of screenshots but most of them contain spoilers so I’ll restrain from posting those
Beautified beaches and boats in Fractured Veil.
Just out doing some scanning, don’t mind me.
“CHANGE OF PLAN! LEG IIIIIIIITTTTT!!!”
And you leg it straight into a star, with a singularity in the upper right as well, defying all reasonable expectation.
The comforting destruction of an Okkar Frigate.
The Okkar Homeworlds sure are pretty.
And we’re off to Sector 7.
Yeah, I did not enjoy Shadow Warrior 2 at all. Too messy, too vibrant, too flippant in its presentation and its gameplay. I hope 3 returns to the more structured design of the first game and do away with the looter shooter random shit.
Well, I’ll get to it soon enough and it will be interesting to see how it compares.
I have finally made it back to The Precursors and I’m surprised how much I enjoy running around Tamerheim and the surrounding desert. The day-night-cycle is a bit fast, but it looks quite nice and I also like all the music so far.
We just completed a construction system update in Fractured Veil. Here’s a peek at what building a base out of wood can look like.
Wow, that’s a blast from the past. I remember enjoying it but not why I dropped it at the time. Might have a look for it tomorrow. Might need to remember my Direct2Drive login for this one
Hello old friend.
Spot the texture error.
You can clip through the door but it doesn’t lead anywhere.
Last Unreal screenshots because taking 'em is a pain in the arse. Buy the game if you want to see more it’s still really good.
I have finished Lorelai, third in the series made by Remigiusz Michalski (Downfall, The Cat Lady). Wasn’t that happy with the second half in terms of writing, but it certainly looks nice at times. It’s much more colorful than The Cat Lady. Not nearly as bleak, at least visually.
Ah, the game I bought my 3Dfx card for. I think it came bundled with Turok, which was also pretty good fun. Those coloured lights and the reflections in Unreal, just blew me away at the time. And that vista when you first step outside the crashed ship was like “Oh WOW!”
Those sharp reflective surfaces that had been polished to a mirror sheen, the coloured lights that were mostly green (even the red ‘green’ from that terminal next to that guy I killed), the demosceney texture effects and how all of that worked in software. Unlike Quake II.
Games don’t look like that anymore. I want games to look like that again but it’s impossible, Unreal used up the limited supply of graphical effects that games are allowed to have.
Hellpoint. I have been very patient for a decent Dark Souls clone and this one seems to fit the bill. Only just released and only played an hour, but so far I like it.
Some more. Four and a half hours in and I am really liking it! Very Dark Souls the first feels (albeit in a totally different environment, of course). So many secrets. I was jump-scared at least three times
How is the weapon selection? Most screens I have seen have been 1H sword; are there lighter weapons like Claws etc?
