I was trying to do a solo playthrough of Dark Souls III (I’ve completed it before, but I co-oped the whole thing with a few folks) but I wasn’t having that much fun because the game sucks, so I went back to Dark Souls II instead. Here’s a screenshot of Dark Souls III:
This was the ONLY time the game approached the idea of looking good in the first 25 hours of play.
So here’s some Dark Souls II, a delightful game that actually wants the player to have fun. I’m playing new game plus because I’ve been told this game actually changes up a lot of stuff for that mode. And it’s true, it does. But saying how would be spoiler-y. There’s just some nice surprises.
I don’t know why people prefer Dark Souls III’s gothic ejaculation and its washed out, grey vomit of polygons when they could have these readable shapes and crunchy textures instead. I am still looking forward to Stayd’s lighting (among other things) mod though, for a different interpretation of the game.
Here’s a hollow that’s t-posing while caught in a spider’s web.
Here’s a skeleton that’s either trying to create a snow angel and failing badly at it, or trying to t-pose on the ground and succeeding at it.
Here’s a skeleton that decided to stand back up and chill after I had killed it, so I decided to pose with it. There’s also a skeleton trying to climb up that ledge, there. Don’t give up, skeleton!
I’ve also been playing Dishonored 2. Some of these shots are a bit older, some newer.
A reliably replicatable bug, where you blow this guard up and he never goes out of alert mode.
Did you know there’s a bell on Meagan’s ship? I didn’t know until like 150 hours in. You can whack it with your sword to ring it.
