It does indeed. There’s a drone camera mode which give you a freecam essentially. It’s amazing. Great shots.

What I can’t work out is why Tritagonist’s Assetto shots and Serenegoose’s Warhammer shots always look so much better than any I’ve taken in those games. I must be doing something wrong!

Speaking of which, here’s a quick summary of a race at Spa-Francorchamps in F1 2016. Due to a less than ideal randomly assigned starting position, I started on the harder tyres. The plan being to postpone my pitstop until after those ahead had made theirs so I could get some clean laps in. In the first laps I had some battles with the Red Bull cars, and afterwards I was able to close the gap to the Mercedes cars and eventually pass both of them. So the plan didn’t quite work as planned, as I was already leading by the time they made their pitstop. On their new tyres they were then faster than I was, but a welcome upset saved the day: the skies turned dark and it slowly started raining. Now my harder tyres allowed me to stay out long enough until it was so wet that I could switch to intermediate tyres, saving myself a pitstop compared to the rest of the field. That was enough to win the race!

The viewpoint on that first shot is great. To play a game of football with 80,000+ people watching must be quite a curious feeling that I doubt one could ever really get used to.

After the F1 2016 race, it was time for some more F1 action at Spa-Francorchamps - but this time in Assetto Corsa, whose rendition of the 2015 Ferrari is much more fun to drive.

(could someone tell me how you upload/link your screenshots, please? I am simply using the link, but I notice that Tritagonist’s post/images behave differently. Also, Tritagonist, how do you add the empty line in between the images?)

Looking good. I’m not much of a fan of rallies, but that looks pretty much how rallies should; tight roads through rural areas with trees and ditches just centimeters from the road!

It seems rather magical. I use the direct links to imgur with a line separating them, then they all show up without any lines, and clicking on them links to the image itself. Then at some point, it seems to be a few minutes later, the forum rehosts the images here, restores a line between them, and allows you to click on them to enlarge them (with the little slideshow on this page).

Curious mix of technologies and aesthetics! Good to see fantasy break out of its European medieval stereotype.

Another F1 2016 race I did last weekend; with Red Bull at Texas’ Circuit of the Americas. After a rather bad start I was able to move back to the front, overtaking the leading Mercedes two laps from the end. In the second to last picture, we’re coming out of the final corner on the final lap. It was close!

Most of the time, I use steam’s overlay. Occasionally, NVidia’s Ansel, if the game supports it.

Nvidia Ansel if possible, otherwise a game-specific Photo Mode if possible (and not half-baked, like in Project CARS or some NFS titles), otherwise Fraps, and Steam’s feature if nothing else is available.
