It may very well be for some people, but there are so many subjective factors that there isn’t a clear-cut answer.
LIke I said, it’s not as attractive to me personally as last month’s, OTOH I’m really tempted to jump in because of Rise of Industry.
The two headliners don’t do much for me because:
- I’m not a Dinosaur-loving person and regarded Jurassic Park as trashy, dumb entertainment that made a splash mostly because of the CGI that was advanced for the time.
- Even then! I’m still partial to tycoon/management games - sadly, DeNuvo.
- I’ve played enough XCOM 1 to last me for a few more years at least. If I bought this bundle, it would certainly be one of my Choices, though.
So, the headliners are not going to sway me, but, there are about 4 games that seem up my alley, and the Classic plan gives me them at a VERY substantial discount: 90+% off.
The only vaguely sensible reason for not buying them now, as part of Choice, is that I’m not out of games to play yet, so I could wait for a better chance.
However, and I believe this is the most important consideration for those who may be yet tempted into a wait-and-see stance…
I’m fairly confident anybody who’s given a good look at the cold, hard numbers, surely must have come to the same conclusion as me; it’s unlikely that another chance to get these games cheaper than Choice, will present itself, if not perhaps a long way down the road. This has been the case recently, and when saying that, I mean the last few years.
Like it or not, Choice, and Monthly before it, have been consistently the safest way to get the best prices on games, and with minimum effort.
If people prefer to buy games separately, if, whenever, and wherever, well: great! However, they’re going to have to pay extra for that ‘privilege’.
Anybody that doesn’t care enough about the games - I ask: okay, what is the problem exactly?
You just saved 12 to 20 bucks. Perhaps with CoViD you can use them. If not, even better, they can sleep sweet, cozy dreams in your wallet while waiting for a better chance, or spend them for hardware or something unrelated to games. Whatever, really.
Hit pause (or cancel if you’re not on Classic), and move on.
Now, if anybody played Rise of Industry, feel free to speak your mind!
