How does one break Greirat’s quest line? All you need to do is follow Siegwald’s quest line then send Greirat off pretty much any time after you encounter Siegwald near the dungeon entrance. As quest lines go it’s a very robust one, with I think more than that one way to succeed.
If not for other games continuously drawing my attention away I’d probably have a halberdier by now. I want to have a lark around with Gundyr’s halberd, but of course that involves making another early Dancer kill, followed by an early Chundyr kill (not worried about Oceiros, I could damn near beat him with my fists), neither of which is what I’d call fun.
Another build I’ve not done yet but want to is a Black Knight build. Reqs aren’t too bad on that, but it might be a pain in the arse to farm, first BK has a greatsword and is a bit of a run from the bonfire. Alternatively I could grab the glaive early, it does need and early Dancer kill, but then there are no real obstacles between me and the weapon. Greataxe is the mother of BK weapons of course, farming that would either require a Chundyr kill or waiting until the ruins.
But the build I’ll probably actually do when the DLC comes out is a nice simple dex build going for the Exile greatsword. Easy and early to acquire, nice stats, nice moveset. DS3 has been quite kind to curved swords, I just wish Quelaag’s Furysword made a reappearance from DS1.
PS. Fuck, did I also mention I want a Moonlight greatsword build? That thing is cool as all hell.
