Nah. And Mountain is not an incomplete Everything, though they have a lot in common in their themes. Mountain is a tiny (yet full) digital interactive sculpture, and a really good one at that. It is economical and effective. Or to use Aerothorn’s words, it is indeed everything it needs to be. Again, straightforwardness is a traditional criterion of quality in the domain of the arts. It’s no surprise so many games venturing the arty route have opted for restraint.
That said, I haven’t played It’s Winter yet - maybe because I myself grew up in a gloomy working-class blockhood isolated in the middle of a forest - so I can’t assess its qualities.
Oh, and beware people… You’re not safe from an Alice O pulling KIDS out of her sleeve, or a bunch of angry Alices grrrls suddenly uniting under a Bewitching Revolution flag. That’d be fun.
