I’m also the same. I thought Baba Is You very clever as an idea, played it, got stuck, gave up. Primarily it’s a very clever Sokoban, but still a Sokoban thing- too often experimentation means failure rather than any interesting new perspective. I try something, I get a new fail state, I have to restart, and then work out the exact special set of steps that will work.
The Zachlikes let me cobble something together and then tell me “well, that works, but looking at this histogram here… you weren’t very good”. So then I can either think to myself “I am fine with this, that was a lot of work” or go back and try and unpick it. Plus you get to do stuff like this which is basically a textbook example of a recursive algorithm
Which is to say, sometimes there is a right solution
