I’m also a little confused what the argument is here. We definitely live in a fantastic time for video games, where a huge variety of games in different genres and modes are being released. This means that, even when we restrict to PC-only games, there are a lot more than 24 games worth celebrating.
The 24 that RPS pick are not the Most Popular of the Year, they are definitely not the 24 Objectively Best Games, they’re the 24 the RPS staff fell the most passionate about and most want to celebrate in an end-of-the-year roundup.
I’m honestly not sure why you have something against lesser-known games?
