I am looking for someone ready to share a complete playthrough of Tale of Tales’ Bientôt l’Été.
- “Bientôt l’été is a videogame for two players. Two players who pretend to be lovers. They pretend to be lovers separated from each other by lightyears of deep space. They have lonely walks along the shore of a simulated ocean, thinking wistful thoughts of each other. Thoughts from ancient Earth literature by Marguerite Duras.”
For the record, Tale of Tales are the people who made, among others, Sunset, The Path, or Luxuria Superbia.
Seems like a game fit for being experienced with your beloved one - actually, we did that years ago, albeit shortly - but it happens my other half has now a demanding job and we have too little time for such a long ‘gaming’ session. As far as I know, Bientôt l’Été doesn’t save any progress in the case you wanna resume later.
Also, I can imagine it’s maybe even more interesting in the company of a “stranger”.
The game is supposed to pair you with a random player if available, but it couldn’t find one every time I tried. It’s not a recent game (it was released in 2013), not to mention it’s not very popular. So it did just set me with/against an AI, and that felt of course like missing the crux of the whole thing. I quitted early.
So, by any chance, anyone ready to spend a few hours in my company on this game?
No rush, that wouldn’t be for December anyway. December’s a busy month as always. I’m just testing the water here.
