So, the boarders have finally started touching and nearly all of the mercenaries have been thrown to the wolves. Diplomatic messages will be sent and people will be hurrying last minute research and forging specific counters, but still, mostly, we are just beating up indeps. How’s the battle for ascension treating you lot?
I just had a truly absurd battle with an independent Necromancer where he stood their passed out in with a handful of zombies and I sniped my own indep-commander who was fending off a flank attack with a long bow arrow, he died, and the elite of my army (who had held back while my mercenary militia smashed themselves against the enemy) quietly walked off the field with nary a casualty accompanied by the treacherous longbowmen.
So now that attack that province again, a province containing a single Necromancer and his escort of 5 heavy militia, bizarrely, this chain of events will probably prove cheaper for me, had my force not retreated when they did I would have had to grind my way though all the Necromancers longdead.
Now I get to stroll up and biff him.
I might not have designed Barry, but I’m Barry now, and Barry is hungry.
