Downsize the clan.
Unlocked with having up to 100 members (you have exactly 100).
You painfully remove almost 200 members from the Clan. Their names are no strange to you. There are many friends among them, people that you played alongside for many hours, who contributed to make the Clan, and the Dojo, what it is today. Some of them have long left for less grindier - or maybe even more grindier - pastures. Some of them are on a break but soon enough they’ll feel that familiar itch to hop around, guns blazing, blades slashing, powers unleashing,… while looking fabulous on their surrogated space ninja avatars. But you have to treat them all equally. Numbers know no feelings. And you keep removing the names, painfully, one by one.
You tell to yourself that it’s for a good cause, that it will benefit everybody in the long run. Besides, it will just be a temporary annoyance, right? The Clan will be up to its former Mountain size before many of them notice anything has changed.
Finally, down to 100. Time to go to the Dojo and initiate the downsize procedure.

Hey, folks, a quick update on the current situation.
Yesterday, after removing enough players to be able to downsize to a lower tier, we discovered that there is a waiting period before being allowed to increase again (something that, in the best Warframe tradition, was only disclosed to us after removing said players - because hiding as much information as possible from its players is the number one point in Warframe’s design bible, apparently). At this point, we had two alternatives:
A) Go on with the downsizing anyway and collect the remaning 25k Mutagen Masses needed for the Research during those 60 days, while hoping that not many absent players decide to come back during this waiting period.
B) Abort the plan, re-invite all those people that were removed (by the way, the culling date came down to around sixty days by sheer coincidence) and give up the idea of completing the Research any time soon.
At first, I was inclined to opt for option B, since A involved going against something I had promised in my earlier post: that the downsizing would be a very momentary annoyance for our less active members. But after talking with the other Warlords and the people that were active yesterday (and also, after doing a couple of Derelict runs with 3 other volunteers to see for myself what the real chances of completing the Research within those 60 days were) I was convinced that we could pull it off and deal with any returning player in a case by case basis.
And this is when the second blow hit: when I finally went to press the ‘yes’ button on the screen showed above, I got an error warning: ‘Clan reduction impossible, there’s a room pending contribution for construction. Finish the room or abort the construction before proceeding to downsize the Clan’. Well, there’s no room pending construction anywhere in the Dojo. We already knew that, but we checked and double-checked, and we couldn’t find this mysterious room. For some months now there’s been a message in the Clan Logo screen claiming that there’s a cross-conector waiting for resources to be built; I don’t know what was the origin of this, but that ‘ghost’ cross-connector doesn’t exist anywhere and thus we’re unable to abort its construction.
So we are now stuck in this place: we already expelled 200 people but are unable to downsize. I already sent a ticket to support, but we won’t get any answer back until Monday, and that if we’re lucky.
There’s not much we can do meanwhile, apart from farming those damned Mutagen Samples and make sure we’re ready when this issue is solved. In the meantime, if you are one of our returning members that find yourself expelled from the Clan, please post here and we’ll send you an invite back as soon as possible.
I’m very sorry for all of this.
@Dilapinated: Your name was among the ones removed yesterday from the member list (last logged on date was almost 600 days ago), so I know these aren’t the best possible circumstances if you are trying to come back into the game. That doesn’t mean that you aren’t welcomed, of course, so just let us know and we’ll send you an invite right away. About your concern of being teamed up with high level players that ‘will play the game for you’ so to speak, it can be solved: There’s always the option of ‘downgrading’ the gear (use lower ranked mods, no ‘meta’ weapons, etc) to be at the same level as a starting player and I’ll be more than happy to break out from the current end-game grind to play with you and have some relaxed fun. I’m sure I’m not the only one, so you can always ask in Clan or Alliance chat for people to play with you. Besides, not all of us are ‘hardened veterans’, so you’ll be hardly alone in your endevours.
