I believe they’ve previously expressed ambitions to add several more acts. I wouldn’t expect them more often than every 18 months/2 years, though.

Yeah, I think “in the end” PoE will be 10 or 12 acts in a single difficulty setting, instead of the 3 we have now. But that’s very, very long term (we’re talking 5-10 years), and things might change in the meantime.

I’m a noob in PoE and interested in having some friendly chat (and maybe grouping once I get less noobtastic?) since I had to turn off Global/Trade instantly, blech. I started on Standard but rerolled for Warbands/Tempest because the expansion rolled out about a week after I started. My main is Ardath on Tempest though I’m so new that might turn into Standard league pretty soon…

I played around with this game a couple of years back, on my lonesome, and it was fun, but lonesome…

So, I’d like to play this as part of a guild/warband/whatever?

ANy general advice? Is it better for everyone to arrive together, and Lev1, or is it more forgiving than I remember -just- the likes of Diablo 2 being of leveling within groups?

We do play as a guild quite a bit, but mainly on the endgame content. People are leveling new characters all the time though so you may be able to find someone to level with. The difficulty is staying at approx the same level by being online at the same time etc…

Leveling solo is pretty easy and fun anyway.

Oh, here’s an announcement:

Since guild rosters are limited, and PoE still doesn’t have a “last online” function, I had to make some tough choices regarding the guild, and inactive people:

I’ve checked all guild accounts in the PoE forum: IF AN ACCOUNT HASN’T VISITED THE OFFICIAL POE FORUMS FOR OVER A YEAR AND IT DOESN’T DISPLAY A WARBANDS/TEMPEST CHARACTER, IT HAS BEEN KICKED FROM THE GUILD.

Kicked people are, of course, more than welcome to reapply if they intend to play the game again. And it is always possible that someone hasn’t visited the forum for over a year but still plays, only not in Warbands/Tempest. So if you think you have been unfairly kicked, please let me know and I’ll reinvite you as soon as possible.

Had an Andvarius drop last week, and I only just realised that it’s worth several Ex on Warbands. Maybe I can afford that Drillneck after all…

Was funny, actually. I only realised it was rare when reading a description of a loot filter and seeing it pictured as an example of “super rare” unique highlighting. A proper “Wait, what?” moment.

Whee, my CoC Wander finally reached the Crit cap and i’ve decided to swap out Fireball in favor of Ball Lightning to get the most out of the Three Dragons Helmet i’m wearing, while also slowly adding knockback jewels. There’s nothing quite as satisfying as constant crit-shatter noises. Been a while since i had so much fun with a character:

(Sadly it’s a bit choppy here and there, despite uploading a silky smooth file - i still haven’t mastered the arcane art of wrangling Youtube’s terrible encoder.)

Yeah, the days where you can find an Andvarius in Normal or Cruel are long past! They’ve actually increased it’s rarity twice already: About a year ago or so they turned it into a map-only drop, by adding an ilvl restriction (chancing still works with low ilvl whites, though) and now they’ve reduced the rarity even further in 2.0 - Still not quite as rare as Drillneck, though
