So yeah the campbeltown seems to be a stealth capable torpedo boat. Guns are not great and badly placed. 3 tube torp launcher on either side with 7.5 range and 6.5 detection so less and much longer reload but longer range.

Unlocked my second tier 7, the Hatsuharu, I understand it’s considered a bit of a dud together with the Mutsuki, but I already like it much better. Its guns are actually usable. It has a B hull, but I don’t think it’s recommended, lose a gun for better AA and a smidge more health.

Also unlocked the Nagato, but need to grind 4-5 million credits to buy it, I’m probably gonna free xp to B hull immediately.

the hatsu is okay, the problem is it is not as maneuverable or stealthy and the guns are made of paper and if you get one turret knocked out that is half your firepower gone and you can’t shoot either directly behind or in front of you.

New York BB has been a huge letdown so far. Only makes a difference on small maps and when I’m top tiered.

On larger maps my speed makes me irrelevant and I get left behind by the cruisers and I’m a sitting duck for competent DD’s and CV’s.

That’s somewhat my problem with US BBs, they’re too damn slow. You usually get to engage a target or two, and then spend the rest of the match trying to vainly get in range of somebody else.

yeah can be massively frustrating, alternatively charge straight towards the enemy spawn. At least it gets it over with quickly and you might have an awesome game.

So managed to finish the 2nd stage from the Sister’s of Fog Missions and unlocked the :

word of advise you need to go to the Yahmoto port or whatever its called to access the Captains and the boats from these missions.

It’s pretty fancy, though I’m annoyed I need T7 ships to be able to unlock the bright pink one. Gold isn’t obnoxious enough for me.

I unlocked my New orleans today, not before getting berated in chat for suggesting someone shouldn’t charge into a cap circle and die just because we need cap points.

Only played the one round in it but it went well, nice and maneuverable, RoF is a bit meh but hey.

I started on the US destroyer line last week. Got my first 6 kill match in the Wickes, so yay, sealclubbing!

Gave up on the New York, I played 13 matches in it and had one good/fun match, so I free-xp’d to the New Mexico, which already feels much better.

Still need cash for the Nagato, it will take a long time.

Play an evening in a premium and you will rake in the credits, US DDs are great fun, kinda hit a wall at the farragut. Which is odd seeing as I got to the mahan in CBT.

Got the Nagato, I no longer run a premium account so it took a while. Continued with the US DD line, Clemson is a fun ship when it’s fully upgraded, decent torps and best-in-class guns at tier IV, I might rebuy it down the line (sold if for the last bit of Nagato cash).

Figured out how to play the Kirov as a sniper/support, my first few matches in her was not fun, alway got to close to the enemy and was punished for it.

I’m really liking the Furutaka after the buff, being able to turn around and not have all your guns facing higgledy-piggledy in every direction but the one you want to aim in is a godsend. I’m actually enjoying the ship now. Still don’t like it anywhere near as much as my konigsberg.

I’m considering getting the Mikhail kutuzhov, it looks like a really fun ship, what with the smoke generator and all.
