You don’t need to be friends with anybody for these challenges to work. But if you want to compare highscores outside the challenges, then you’d need to add the other players

Sorry for the delay, I’ve been hiking

So, our third challenge which used yet another mode comes to a close and Thermal Ions once again emerges victorious! This challenge requires constant high score and he managed to get the most consistent performance in this challenge with over 25 million points. Congratulations!

Since we now tried all modes, what do you guys think about the different variants?

And now we continue on with a new challenge:

RPS PFX3 Challenge 4
Table: Star Wars - Boba Fett
Password: RPSPinball
Rules: normal, no upgrades
Created by: Bexo Dust
Duration: 7 days (finishes monday, the 12th of november)

PS: I think I’ll stick to the fact that upgrades remain deactivated, since I don’t think that this is fitting for our more casual setting.

I liked them all, probably survival is my least favourite but it was still fun. Feels to me that survival and the 5 minute limit mode bunch up the field quite a bit, but regular and 1 ball have more room for the skilled to score big.

Man, this is a cool table but I’m terrible at it for some reason. Balls are just magnetically drawn to the outlanes on this one.

I just got a decent score for the tourney but the game wouldn’t upload it. After my last ball was lost the game just stayed on the table. I could go to the menu but when I tried to go to the leaderboard screen the game then froze. That’s the second time it happened to me, but the other instance wasn’t a good score. That’s quite off-putting if this is going to happen again.

I got a better score that did upload, so it doesn’t matter anymore. It seems the game sometimes doesn’t like it when you press buttons as it goes through the end sequence.

Our fourth challenge finished now and somehow I managed to win!
I got nearly all of my points with my last ball where I managed to finish three missions (which are worth a lot of points!).

I think I’ll keep rotating through the different modes with each table, which leads us to the next challenge:

OK that’s weird, I own Earth Defense force but it (and a number of other tables I own) are locked now. Anyone else having a similar issue?

It’s been a known issue since release, with a couple of attempts to fix so far. For some just quitting and restarting brings the missing tables back. If that doesn’t work, they’ve just released another fix, available on the beta branch, which they’re more positive will work this time!

Hey guys, there is currently a Steam Fall Sale going on and some table packs are reduced by up to 50%. So if you thought about building up your collection, now is a good time!

Although you should be careful, Steam says that I don’t own some packs, although the tables are available for me. So double check before buying any new tables!

EDIT: The Ghost Rider table is currently also on sale! You can get the Marvel Pinball Vengeance and Virtue Pack for 50% off (so around 5€).
