After a long draught, sudden flood of interesting titles.
The Wonderful 101, a remake of a highly regarded Wii U game (apparently?) from PlatinumGames, and for Switch, PC and a few more platforms. Funded 23 times the original goal, with 31 days to go. Lauren posted about it on the front page.
Aquamarine, the survival adventure inspired by the art of Moebius, which Matt wrote about a year ago. It’s looking better now and has more hints of gameplay, not just “driving around”. Almost funded with 21 days left.
Cyber Knights, a cyberpunk inspired XCom-like which claims to be inspired by Darkest Dungeon. 125% funded with 30 days remaining. Intriguing, but this one is the one I would be most cautious about backing.
Pathfinder: Wath of the Righteous. The first one got middling reviews I think, the amount of bugs was the main objection if I recall correctly. But it got enough fans for a sequel it seems. Just launched a few hours ago and over 50% funded so looks like another success. This new “mythic” campaign apparently has Throne of Bhaal like deicide and absurd power levels.
And over in the world of tabletops, there is a World of Darkness Vampire: Masquerade title with some very sweet looking figures and character tie-ins to Paradox’s upcoming Vampire: Bloodlines 2.
