Absurd amount of crowdfund projects right now, sure to be something for everyone, if you are the backing type.
Lost Ember. Third person adventure game done in Unreal 4, where you can possess animals you meet. Looks promising, and off to a strong start. €35,726 pledged of €100,000 goal, 33 days to go
Goblins of Elderstone. A city building/goblin tribe simulator. $24,694 pledged of $40,000 goal, 30 days to go
Witchkin- a hide and sneak horror game, inspired by Five Nights at Freddies and Blair Witch Project, but set in the 1920s. You are a child in a haunted house, you are hunted by spooky toys possessed by the souls of murdered children. Cheerful. $2,335 pledged of $12,000 goal, 21 days to go
Iron Tides. A viking themed roguelike with turn based combat. $9,265 pledged of $19,000 goal, 20 days to go
Astronaut: The Best. Princess Maker meets King of Dragon Pass. It is supported by the Fundbetter initiative, so if it succeeds it will get matching funds from Failbetter Games, those of Sunless Sea/Fallen London. If it makes it it’s going to be close… $11,779 pledged of $26,000 goal, 9 days to go
Butt Sniffing Pugs. An exploration adventure game for everyone. I love the art here, the animations are so cheerful. $28,361 pledged of $60,000 goal, 22 days to go
Code 7 - a fully voiced text based hacking adventure €9,256 pledged of €15,000 goal, 14 days to go.
Make Sail. Ship building, physics driven open world exploration adventure game. One of the campaigns on Fig right now, the other one of course being Wasteland 3. $46,205 of $50,000 goal, 22 days remaining
Vigilantes. Crime themed turn based tactical RPG. €3,194 pledged of €5,000 goal, 25 days to go
NITE Team 4- the military hacking RPG. It had a rough start, but looks like it’s going to make it! $25,527 pledged of $30,000 goal, 24 days to go
AI War 2by Arcen. Mentioned on RPS frontpage. Got 10% rather than 30% the first day which tends to be the minimum for a guaranteed success, but they have picked up steam since then so there is still a chance. $38,424 pledged of $299,400 goal, 28 days to go
Queer Quest- a point and clit adventure game. Got a shout out from Ron Gilbert on Twitter. $6,524 pledged of $50,000 goal, 21 days to go
Project Automata, a city building game inspired by the likes of Transport Tychoon. €8,245 pledged of €150,000 goal, 19days to go
Dwarrows- “an adventure and town building game”. $11,474 pledged of $12,000 goal, 17 days to go
Backdrop- the RPG where you are puppets on a stage. Beautiful and a unique concept, but they have admitted now they won’t make it unless some drunken millionaire suddently drops $100 000 on it. But they are grateful for the backers they had, and promise to try to finish the game anyway. €29,085 pledged of €175,000 goal, 13 days to go
Wasteland 3 - approaching the second stretch goal at $3M: “Morningstar” the combat car with a patriotic AI. 22 days remaining.
Tiny Metal. Advance Wars inspired tactical turn based RPG. Started out well but has stalled and currently looks unlikely to make it unfortunately. $25,622 pledged of $50,000 goal, 4 days to go
Woven. They wov to complete it anyway, but it will likely take longer time and/or be a smaller game.
Dual Universe. I didn’t post about this because making MMORPGs and keeping the servers running and continually filled with new content is expensive and in my opinion not a great fit for Kickstarters, but they made it so congrats to the team. 8,166 backers believed enough in it to pledge a total of $565,983.
Tracklessby 12 East games on Fig, including Aubrey Serr, one of the people behind Overgrowth (which I thought had been cancelled, but when I checked they had an development update just a month ago)
Jeff Vogel of Spiderweb Software is famous for doing old-school RPGs with very old-school graphics, but in two years time he plans to do a complete rewrite of the engine and says Kickstarter might be a good fit then.
