Gloom: Digital. The PC version of a very nice pick-up and play cardgame designed by Keith Baker. I’ve played the card game a couple of times, it’s really good. Each player has a family of Addams-family like characters, and the goal is to get them as depressed as possible before killing them by playing out evens like “abandoned at the altar”. The transparent event cards have markings that you have to match in certain ways to be allowed to play them. Player with most negative points at the end win, so you want to play positive events like “unexpected inheritance” on the other player’s family members. In this digital version the characters get voices and nice animations, playing out the little stories that are created as you play. $16,211 pledged of $75,000 goal, 31 days to go
The House of Da Vinci. A 3D puzzle game, clearly inspired by The Room. Which is good, I want more of those! They are about half-way through making the game. For Android & iOS as well as PC & Mac. £2,113 pledged of £25,000 goal, 33 days to go
Pigsodus - the Ultimate Pig Adventure Game. Point and click adventure with some very charming characters and story with some grim undertones - think Chicken Run. Monkey Island style pixel art. Also some RPG/platform/stealth elements, which I’m less sold on? $2,770 pledged of $30,000 goal, 32 days to go
In the pen & paper world, the legacy of Drakar&Demoner, Kult, Mutant et al lives on, seemingly making Sweden a powerhouse of RPG rulesets. Another wildly successful one running now, Coriolis. 395,001 kr pledged of 50,000 kr goal. The concept art and the world described is very intriguing, I would love to see a PC RPG set there. Hey, maybe there will be a Kickstarter in 2027, eh?

**System Shock has made it and is just a few thousand dollars away from $1M, the first stretch goal for Mac and Linux versions is at $1.1M. The stretch goals I’m interested in are at $1.3M (more locations) and $1.5M (orchestral score). I like RPGs so wouldn’t mind $1.4M at all, but I can understand that those who played and loved the original (I only played SS2) don’t want it tampered with too much. 14 days to go.
Prey for the Gods. The great looking 3rd person action adventure heavily inspired by the likes of Shadow of the Colossus (and Deus Ex and Bloodborne, they claim) is pretty much exactly 66% funded right now at $200,728 with 22 days left on the clock.
Four Last Things: “a point-and-click renaissance masterpiece”. £2,302 pledged of £3,500 goal, 13 days to go
Wizard of Legend the 2d dungeon crawler just made it, $51,654 pledged of $50,000 goal, 7 days to go
COLUMNAE: A Past Under Construction. Non-linear point & click adventure with noir art style and a steampunk world. 25% there, €10,901 pledged of €40,000 goal, 26 days to go
Escape from Pleasure Planet - the gay comedy point & click adventure made it, $5,403 AUD pledged of $5,000 goal, 14 days to go
Eldet- less cartoony and more realistic gay hunks than “Pleasure Planet” in this occult/fantasy visual novel. If the writing is as good as the art, this could be something. Romances are optional, but considering how much of the KS page and updates is taken up by it I expect most of the focus to be on this, so if you aren’t into that this might not be for you. Also think about how many variations of jelousy and love-triangles he has to write now, I would prefer some stretch goals to be for more involved game mechanics and story instead of tossing ever more man meat into the pot. $27,109 pledged of $7,000 goal, 3 days to go
