Hello, I’m elderman. I’ve posted occasional comments on the posts on the regular RPS site before, but this is my first expedition into the forums. I work in the theatre and live in France.
Over the past couple of years, as my life has become increasingly fulfilling, I’ve had less and less time for gaming.
In my (notional) gaming library there are many local multiplayer games. I love the idea of them, although I’m not surrounded by people who enjoy computer games. The second problem with these games is that I’ve found they disappointingly hard to get working on Linux.
I rarely play new release AAA games, and I avoid games that would be embarrassing to show to my non-gaming friends. I like beautiful graphics, flow, short gaming sessions, and surprising ideas. I tend not to be on the cutting edge of new releases. At the moment, I’m playing Portal 2, Spelunky, 80 days, and Kentucky Route Zero. I’d love to get Sportsfriends and Skullgirls working well on my system.
