I swapped out a 1080Ti yesterday and installed an EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra. Now every time I turn on the PC, after the initial POST beep it plays FOUR very fast beeps and boots normally with no obvious problem. The beeps were so fast I had to record the audio and load that up in Goldwave and slow it right down.
I’ve taken out the RAM and reseated them, thinking maybe I knocked one when putting the GPU in but that hasn’t resolved it.
Motherboard is an Asus X99 Deluxe II with drivers back in August when I did a re-format for Windows 10 on a new SSD.
CPU is an Intel i7 6850K - wondering now if this a bottleneck for the 3090.
I ran RDR2 fine on ultra settings, though I am having a hard time getting the game to not look blurry using TAA. If I use MSAA and FXAA trees and bushes flicker and look awful. MSAA is a known problem in RDR2 anyway. However I don’t think my beeps are related to this.
