Speaking generally, permabans are issued without warning. When a permanent ban is issued, it’s the final step of a process, not something handed out on a whim, and, most often than not, it’s final, and there is nothing to be gained by discussing it. (Although, of course, there are situations that do not go through a process, like obvious spam, major violations, automatic removals, clerical mistakes, etc)
Warnings are given before measures are taken, and a temporary suspension is in itself a warning, but stronger.
Whatever the case, any kind of measure has a high likelihood of triggering some flavor of an “unfair!” reaction.
As an aside, we don’t know for sure that RPS is avoiding discussion, right now. There’s several other explanations for their not having given any answer yet.
Nevertheless, it is in their purview to prevent access to users, for whatever reason deemed valid, in their preferred fashion, and without warning or explanations.
It sucks to be shut out, however, other than e-mailing RPS and asking politely for an explanation, there is not much else to do.
