I have suddenly entirely lost all energy and motivation this week.
I made it through the lockdown pretty much ok, and the weeks after that, but this week has been tough/meh/zzzz.
I’m not actually entirely sure why.
It’s partly the heat and not sleeping well.
I think it’s partly because my kids started back at school this week. Doing anything productive at home was impossible when they were at home, but at least my mind was mainly occupied with them.
Now it’s quiet at home, but I don’t have the motivation or energy to do much, so my mind isn’t occupied.
Work is kinda similar. I’m going to work most days, but it’s really quiet most of the time so it’s not very energetic or motivating and too much time for thinking, but not much to think about.
The only thing I’m really doing is watching TV shows, and then my unoccupied brain is just spending most of its time thinking about those. Which isn’t very useful.
The only real exception is the time spent cycling to and from work, which is nice - despite the insane heat.
I think I need to find myself a project or something.
