Thanks. I’m going to their showroom soon and specifically asked them to let me test the Leap, Gesture and Amia. A few minutes with each isn’t enough to know how good they are long term, but testimonials from people who own them like you are pretty encouraging.
Unfortunately no. I saw that chair get some positive words online but unfortunately it doesn’t look like anyone is selling them here.
Comfort is my top priority, since we now have studies showing that any seating is bad for you all I want is to feel good while I’m slowing killing myself - I’ve no illusions that there’s a chair out there that will fix my bad posture of improve my health in any significant way. And good point about car seat style chairs.
Thing is around here anything better than a cheap chair is going to cost anyway so if I’m spending money might as well get something that adapts well to my body. The granularity of adjustments is what drew me to the Steelcases in the first place.
Mm. Are cheap used Leaps easy to find in the UK? And do you think one would fit inside a large luggage if disassembled? Now that I think about it if I got one for the same price you did and added the cost of a plane ticket it would still be cheaper than buying a new one here, and I always wanted to visit there…
Thanks. Since they’re the most expensive of the bunch by a significant margin it would take a lot of convincing for me to buy one anyway.
