There’s also that one where the rugby team crashes in the mountains… (Alive)
Though I’d much rather watch Cliffhanger again… it might be dumb fun, but it’s fun dumb fun.
Resorting to google a bit to jog my memories, but I remember liking (Miss) Smilla’s Feeling for Snow which is a book and a movie. I read the book first though.
Batman Returns is the best batman movie, and nice and snowy.
Legolas walking on the snow in Fellowship of the Ring is the kind of awesome small touch that I love, and that a lot of people probably didn’t even notice.
The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe is nice and snowy for most of it. You can choose between the (probably better) newer movie, or the old BBC drama that has a place in my heart and feels very wintery.
Speaking of which, The Box of Delights is the best kids TV show ever and is very snowy. The wolves are running.
Die Hard 1 and particularly 2 are wintery. The Long Kiss Goodnight is wintery as well I think. Remember liking that one.
Oh, and Gremlins… but at this point we might as well just say All Christmas Movies
The Revenant is a very realistic portrait of Leonadro Di Caprio getting fucked up in the cold.
I don’t remember it actually being snowy all that much, but I was a massive fan of Northern Exposure back in the day, and it has the isolated Alaskan town. And a moose. And the lady out of Cliffhanger.
And then finally of course you have all the family CGI ones that I doubt you’ll be interested in: Snow Queen series, Ice Age Series… some mildly popular movie about letting it go…
