I understand RPG mobile is blasphemy to some, however this thing is free. And I dunno if it’s any good, so you’re on your own:
You buy and rate stuff on what it is now, not on some idea of what it might turn out in five years now.
Over 10 years after Minecraft launched the concept of Early Access, I trust that you are fully aware of that, so it’d be nice if you you stopped playing contrarian based on some “you’re an SJW hipster and I’m a paladin of customer rights” routine that cannot be farther from truth.
As for Rogue System, I have unfortunately read what people have been writing about that game, so I am very sadly aware that it is at least 95% pure unadulterated entitlement and review-bombing. They had arguments as compelling as the usual “this is a scam” (because everything they don’t particularly like is one, and anything they like cannot be one) and “you should’ve pulled this from sale” (WTF?)
Which I find particularly despicable since this stuff is pulled with outrageously fake righteousness by many of the same who then defend people like kovarex and Tynan Sylvester, or attack Hinterland for objecting to the Long Dark being assimilated by nVidia.
Being a Tynan Sylvester or a kovarex (or a company with over 20 years of terrible practices like nVidia) lies 90% in the domain of “yes I want to be shitty to people because I can get away with it”, while having an accident exists almost entirely in the domain of “shit happens to people”.
Just a smokescreen. Nobody who wants to build their own walled garden can be honestly waging a war on the thing.
Throw enough marketing and freebies in a cup, add hot water, and people will make their own kool-aid, tho.
I thought you folks said the Steam client was crap and if Valve couldn’t make it better, it was entirely their fault.
How come Epic now has a platform and client that are actual hot steaming crap, and it’s STILL Valve’s fault if Epic can’t make it better?
Because, you know, it would help a lot if Epic at least tried to make a decent store, instead of asking Valve to commit seppuku for Epic’s sake, in a bout of wicked Trumpian-styled glee.
Jeez, they should merge CD Projekt and Epic, then call it Pepe the Frog Games.
