Nope. Has a decently lengthy single player campaign. I don’t much like it as FPS, but it sure as heck is pretty.

That’s another good ‘freebie game’ for me. I have no interest in the multiplayer so I’d never buy it, but I kinda fancy running around in a nicely rendered star wars world for an hour or two.
I almost tried it when I was subscribed to Origin Access, but I think I balked at the install size.

Lots of horror games on offer over at gog for about 30 more hours. Knock-Knock and The Void are both available for 2,49 € right now. The first is a nice little gateway drug for Icepick Lodge-games I’d say. It’s much easier and much shorter, but still has their magic.

The adventure/horror-games by Michalski are also on offer. Lorelai is already down to 3,19 €. Though I liked The Cat Lady more overall: 2,09 €.

It’s really, really good for that. Try the campaign, but also jump into some multiplayer games. Don’t worry about your performance, just enjoy the spectacle. The visual and sound design is as good as it gets, and hugely evocative of the movies.

Blackwake is less than a dollar/pound on Steam right now, which has flooded it with players and inspired me to jump back in after a couple of years. The concept is hard to argue with—each team is the crew of a wooden warship led by one player as captain—and though the execution isn’t perfect and it’s subject to the, uh, eccentricities of the online gaming community, it works enough of the time to justify a purchase at that price.

I played this briefly on EA Access a while back and it seemed pretty fun. A bit of a more consoley FTL. Controls seemed a bit fiddly at times.

When I got it on steam it didn’t work on my system (lots of graphical bugs) and I had to refund it, but others may have more luck.

Gateways is superb, as I’ve said in the past.

It does a lot of really weird shit with portals in a metroidvania kind of way, and that makes for some extremely challenging puzzles that’ll really leave you scratching your head. Fortunately there’s a robust hint system that tells you whether you need the ability to create upside down time travel clones to solve a particular puzzle, so for the most part it manages to avoid frustration.

Interesting. I seem to remember reading somewhere that it’s a contravention of GDPR law to withhold site functionality as ransom from the user unless they agree to non-essential cookies.

I don’t know the details of GDPR, but it certainly feels iffy, and not something I expected on RPS of all sites.
