I always felt that Hinterland’s commitment to delivering a game that aligned to their vision (as in, actually do that not just utter a trite formula), as well as the players’ wishes, was outstanding.
We’ve heard for years people complaining that Early Access was a mess or scam, when a developer comes round and makes it like they should, somehow it’s a bad thing.
It’s even more bizarre when one stops to ponder how the Early Access poster child, Minecraft, has been in a constant state of development for an even longer time.
Enjoy The Long Dark, folks, it’s one of my fave games bar none.
Buy it if you have some spare cash and like immersive worlds (perhaps not on Epic, though)
