I don’t think I care about graphics. I do have a bit of a problem differing between graphics and art style of things though, so maybe.
for example, i have no problem playing Diablo 1, it still looks good, even though it looks like pixel graphics nowadays. Deus Ex 1 though, I can’t stand how the characters look like sentient piles of cardboard boxes.
I also don’t get on with too weird style either. Alot of indie games I can’t even contemplate playing based on style alone.
I guess I prefer what I’d call simple realistic comic look, like in comic books, like marvel and DC stuff. The characters have a nose that looks like a nose and a roughly realistic body shape (for their type, Hulk is not exactly someone you meet in real life, but in the comics, he never suddendly have two elbows on the same arm) , but you don’t need to be able to count every hair on their arm.
Ironically, I don’t like the still they use on this article for Cyberpunk, aka the Style over Substance game, becasue to me, it looks like the generic Sci-Fi style that has been common for the last ten years:
