Talking of digital distribution platforms, I guess I proved to myself that I am quite capable of waiting for games to come out of Epic exclusivity. I don’t mean that in a mean way, I’m actually pretty cool with Epic’s store being a thing, even with their exclusives-obsession, now, but the main game I’d wanted from it, Hades, which I had put off getting because it was in early-access rather on EGS, is now on Steam. Still in early-access so I’m still not getting it yet, but there you are. Ashen, too, but I don’t see the point in getting that until they at least let you see what P2 looks like. Phoenix Point appears to sorta-suck and will eventually be on Xbox Game Pass, and the only other EGS exclusive I can think of that I’d kinda like (but may need to upgrade my PC for) is Control, which also looks like it’s coming to Xbox Game Pass in 2020.
I guess exclusivity wasn’t that big a deal either way, in the end. I’d probably have signed up for one of the free games at some point if they’d ever had something that I didn’t already have via Humble or the like or didn’t only hear about like a week after it stopped being free!
