I still stand on the ground that if you think something is OP then don’t use it in a single player game. I really liked Ice Bow for going fast through levels. Bottom line is that nerfing Ice Bow does not matter 0 and 1 BC now. With damage reduction removed it is DC different ballpark now. Game is way easier now and I am super fine with that. Nerfed Ice Bow only matters on 4 BC, where you litteraly don’t want to be hit like at all because of malaise. Old Ice Bow was giving you that reliable, quick and distance crowd control, now it is gone and with added teleporting enemies game changed dramatically. This is not a special suprising developement ( though it is Ice Bow was in that form for over year in EA and made it to 1.0, why change now ?), I’ve seen this move before, in many tactics game and tactical cRPG and even mmo players tend to come up with way of reliable way of cc, (holy trinity) as it is often the safest way to play. It is either embraced and accepted by devs or it is first thing to be hit by nerf bat.
