So I tested this new version 1.1. I have a mixed feelings about.
Nerfed Ice Bow - so sad
Anyway there is some strage balancing going on tbh. With damage reduction basicaly removed and enemy damage scalling removed, plus damage cap removed from bosses game on first two dificulty levels are way, way easier now. If you picked enough scrolls, you can just steam rolls through, actually now with right build it is quite possible to kill HotK without taking any or next to no damage at all.
Still they tried to balance that with new skill time reduction mutation system which is not cool imo. Theu don’t want you to spam skills, meaning you feel like you should move slower, additionaly they added doors with loot with number of enemies you kill without taking damage (basicaly 60), which is another incentive to go slower more methodical, safer which I don’t think is particularly good idea for DC.
Now here comes Nightmare difficulty level which tbh seems the reason why all these changes took place. Now it is really, really frickin’ hard. What was before seems like a baby’s dream to nightmare that it is now. After many tries I only manage to go past first boss.
Enemies with melee attacks will chase player with teleporting, so no more just simple changing levels to escape danger, bonded with nerfed ice bow, so no more really reliable crowd control and new elites with suprising quirks makes a really deadly combination.
Overall it is mixed bag balance, lackinga a direction imo.
