The DLC felt built for people who had utterly dredged the base game. The efforts to patch niche weapons into legitimacy were extensive.
I took it all on with my wife meaning the summon’s disposable nature allowed us to to explore all the unpleasant surprises with non of the inconvenience (mostly) facing that DLC alone would have been a real headache, being in the ‘wrong’ matchmaking tier for a given area means that you have to nearly no companions until you hit the final infinite tier 45,000,000+ SM let’s you do everything with everyone above 45Mill forever (except for red eye orb if you get above 360 Million) .
Still, I’ll only ever play it as a 30-39k tier with the Agape Ring, which is a challenge I endorse to everyone, having to make do with the bits and bobs you can scavenge, and conserve, you end up fashion soulsing because everything breaks anyway, but armour breaking doesn’t ruin its non physical resistances.
Everyone gets the Santier’s Spear for that infinite fall back weapon, but it’s not until Dragon Bro that you feel fully dressed as a 30ker.
