It’s basically Eve’s pilot / ship in medieval fantasy setting (crow soul / body), and I am likely one of thousands waiting for such transplantation to happen =) It’s a kind of forced altoholism; Players are often becoming emotionally attached to this or that character - it will be a bit harder to develop emotional ties with a … crow!?!
On the other hand, once you die in an MMO - you just snap your fingers and teleport to a nearby graveyard, in full gear, happy and healthy; Furthermore, this is often cynically abused as teleport, for faster travel - thus in this situation I clearly prefer Crowfall’s solution.
As a side effect, graveyards are getting even more significance this way, both as possible resurrection point and important source of mats for necromancy (body crafting). Also, resurrection on the battlefield might amount to “…hey, Pete…did you bring another Knight figurine?..Pete…?”
