I thought this thread was going to be about single-distance prescription glasses for computer use, not something-something about coatings.
When I finally succumbed to presbyopia, I found that my distance lenses made working at my computer impossible. I got a pair of progressive glasses, but found that the narrow correct strip and edge distortions bothered me, so I bought a set of single-distance glasses from Zenni that were midway between my distance glasses and my reading prescription. They worked pretty well.
Eventually, though, I got used to the progressives. My brain started filtering out the edge distortions, and I found myself forgetting to switch glasses when I sat down at the computer. Eventually I stopped bothering with them. But they were a handy temporary solution, and basic glasses from Zenni are pretty cheap.
