Specifically Red Dead Redemption 2, a bug which may already be known by some of you reading this (if indeed you are reading this). When the game launches in Windows 10 the volume defaults to 8%, every time and there doesn’t appear to be workaround… well, other than alt-tabbing out and moving the volume up for the game to 100%. For whatever reason Cockstar chose to give the game it’s own volume mixer - and set it a 8%. And also chose not to fix the damn thing.
But then that got me thinking, surely it’s possible to have Windows 10 automatically set the volume of an app when it’s opened, right? Sure, I can set the volume under Apps in the Sound control panel but only if the game is open but then it doesn’t stick and goes right back to 8% next time anyway.
