I’ve been an RPS reader since the Quinns-era, and one of the major reasons I’ve always come back is because of the friendly community. In the last year or so, I’ve become a solo hobbyist game dev and I’ve just released my first little game to the public. As such, I wanted to say a bit of a thank you to the community around here by offering some free keys for it!
The game itself, Central Limit Theorem, is a quick, stressful score chasing shooter where you have to protect your core for as long as you can from the shapes attacking it. It started life in the this year’s Global Gam Jam, and the gimmick is that enemies can ‘transmit’ behaviours between each other through the ink they leave behind. The more ink, the more difficult the game becomes! You can play a pretty fully featured free WebGL demo version here: https://amicableanimal.itch.io/central-limit-theorem and it looks like this:
Anyway, sales pitch over! There are some links below which should allow you to claim a key. You’ll need an itch.io account to claim them, but you should get access to a DRM-free downloadable Windows, Mac, and Linux versions of the game to keep! (Oh, and do let me know if something goes wrong, as this is my first time using this key system!)
I hope you enjoy it, and here is to another 7-ish years of PC gaming… stuff!
P.S. New account as I thought I should at least try to be ‘on brand’ and all that!
