I think it’s too early for me to comment on the main thing : apart from a few civ6 turns, I’ve been having no time to play since the day I got it, really. I installed Fallout 4 and panicked for a minute when I saw the launcher did not detect my GTX1060, but then I’ve put everything on ultra and it played flawlessly for the 15 minutes spare time I had left.
But right now, on a general note, I’m happy with my purchase. The fact that it’s ugly and has a name that puzzles my friends (this is a plus actually) put aside, my Predator have been the right companion for my travels. It’s silent, cool, fast and reliable. It immediately coupled with my soundcard, ran sound apps as good as a mac (and all the free plug-ins coming from the open source scene are such a plus/ I won’t have to wait for their commercial counterpart anymore).
I’ll come back as soon as I have something to share on gaming. (but considering my agenda, those won’t happen before september ) For now I still trust that from what I gathered, it’s a good choice under 1200€. Which is the limit I had set anyway (there has to be one).
About the site, I just meant I was surprised to see no comments ever under their reviews (might be a deliberate choice), and I’ve seen almost no mention of this site on the web even though they offer such exhaustive and relevant advice. That’s what I meant by “in a bubble”.
EDIT : still, I could use a couple of stickers to hide the huge ''PREDATOR" signs that are all over it lol
But most importantly, I would really need a guide on how getting rid of all the useless programs and Win 10 functions that impedes my laptop !
